Answering the first question is straight forward - yes, Peter Baker is very much a real person and is still actively involved in the business. However, the second question takes more explanation.
Nafiz Ali
Group Financial Controller
Nafiz joined PBT in May 2008 as Group Financial Controller, having spent the previous 9 years working for various chartered accounting firms specializing in audit and taxation. He is a qualified chartered accountant, manages all finance functions of the company and provides financial advice to executive management team. Nafiz started his auditing career in Fiji where he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers before migrating to New Zealand in 2002. Prior to joining PBT, Nafiz was the audit manager working for the company’s external auditors from 2005 and had been involved in the audit of PBT Group.
Craig Peattie
PBT Transport National Operations
Craig first joined PBT in Christchurch in 1991. He moved through the ranks as Operations Manager, Christchurch Branch Manager and then as General Manager of PBT Couriers and Transport. Craig spent 4 years away from PBT returning in August 2007 doing various roles until settling in as Group National Operations & North Island Regional Manager.
Tim Le Cren
Group National Sales Manager
Tim's career in freight distribution covers over 20 years. He has held most positions rising to National Marketing Manager, General Manager and State Manager (in Australia) for a variety of major industry participants.
Tim joined PBT in 2003, and was initially responsible for nationwide linehaul management and North Island regional branches.
Michael Satherley
National Manager - PBT Bulk
Michael spent 20 years in a variety of positions throughout the freight industry, before joining PBT as Auckland Operations Manager in 1995. Three years later he moved into the newly formed role of National Operations Manager and in 2005 was appointed to the role of General Manager - PBT Bulk.
Kris Webster
PBT Couriers National Operations Manager
Kris Webster joined PBT in October 2007 as the Christchurch Branch Manager PBT Couriers. In July 2009 Kris was promoted to the South Island Role. Kris started in the Courier industry in 1997 as a Contractor then as a sales consultant before moving to the North Island as a Trainee Branch Manager. Kris has Managed 3 regional branches for Freightways before moving to PBT. When not working Kris is found spending time with his young family and Supporting the St Patricks College Silver Stream 1st XV.
